Thomas Horton currently serves as the Houston Market Manager for the Personal Trust and Estate Administration group. In this role, Thomas leads a team that is responsible for the administration of Trust, Estate, Agency and Retirement Accounts totally more than $700MM in assets under management.
Prior to joining Bank of Texas, Thomas worked at a boutique estate planning, probate, and guardianship litigation firm. At the firm, Thomas handles litigation matters, administration issues and prepared numerous Estate Planning documents. In addition to these services, Thomas often guided clients through tax issues, including gift, estate and income matters as it related to their estate or trust. I worked at a estate and trust firm doing mainly litigation and administration.
In 2019, Thomas certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization in the area of Estate Planning and Probate. Thomas joins a group of less than 800 board certified estate planning probate attorneys in the Estate of Texas.
Kristen Sayegh joined Whitley Penn in 2012. Her tax practice has centered around working with families, entrepreneurs, closely held businesses, and high net worth individuals focusing on estate planning, financial planning, federal and multi-jurisdictional income tax planning, and professional accounting services. She is a member of the Houston Estate and Financial Forum, Financial American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TXCPA). Kristen serves on Whitley Penn’s Innovation Council and is involved with the firm’s recruiting efforts at several Texas universities. Additionally, Kristen regularly prepares and presents on tax legislation both internally and externally.
Kristen was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar to Hong Kong, Past President of the Rotary Club of Houston Skyline and a member of Leadership Houston, Class of XXXII. Kristen was the University of Houston-Victoria’s 2021 Young Alumna of the Year and was a Houston Business Journal 2021 Woman to Watch Honoree.
Kristen received a B.B.A. and M.B.A. from the University of Houston-Victoria.
Gwynne is a Senior Vice President and Investment Strategist with Truist Private Wealth Management. She offers clients more than 25 years of comprehensive wealth management experience, with a team approach that brings together specialists in investments, financial planning, credit, and estate strategies. She is a native of Houston Texas and is a graduate of The University of Oklahoma. Gwynne serves on the board of The Joy School.
