Faith Allen is Senior Vice President of corporate and commercial relationships with Bank of Texas, providing financing for Houston area commercial, industrial, and energy service businesses. A lifelong Houston resident, Allen has more than 30 years of banking experience, including officer and manager roles with other banks in the Houston market. She most recently served as senior vice president and mid-corporate relationship manager for the Houston office of Citibank and earlier served 16 years at JP Morgan Chase in middle market banking.
She earned a BBA degree in finance from the University of Texas at Austin and an MBA from the University of Houston Bauer College of Business. She is actively involved in the community, serving as a member of Victory Houston, a branch of the American Cancer Society, on the finance committee and on the advisory board for The Woods Project, Inc., which has a mission to create wilderness education and exploration experiences for disadvantaged students.

Elizabeth Pringle Johnson
Elizabeth Pringle Johnson is a partner with the law firm of Hanszen Laporte. Elizabeth specializes in commercial real estate secured lending, commercial real estate development and general business transactions. A native of Mobile, Alabama, Elizabeth has resided in Houston since 1982. She was a partner at the Winstead Frim prior to becoming the General Counsel and Senior Vice-President at Camden Property Trust.
Elizabeth graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Alabama and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She graduated in the top 5% of her law school class from the University of Alabama and was selected for the Alabama Law Review. She has served on the boards of West University Elementary School, Lanier Middle School and St. Agnes Academy. She was President of the Heart of Texas Chapter on the National Charity League and has volunteered extensively at Medical Bridges, Christian Community Service Center and Memorial Hermann Hospital. Taylor Meier is a senior financial analyst at Ensco plc. Taylor’s focus is on financial planning and strategic development for Ensco, a global offshore drilling company. Taylor has previous experience in valuation and business modeling, where she focused on tax and financial reporting valuation engagements within the energy sector. Taylor began her finance career in Houston, previously working at Ernst and Young, Duff and Phelps and The BVA Group. Taylor earned a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling with her husband, and playing with her puppy, Ellie.

Susan Jistel Spillios
Leveraging her knowledge of the Houston professional services market, Susan’s current focus is on the Houston Consulting Practice and the growth of the Houston office through business development leadership. Susan initially joined SolomonEdwards (SEG) in early 2012 as a Principal in the firm’s National Banking and Financial Services practice and has led numerous initiatives upon promotion to Partner in January 2013. These include the establishment of a National Energy Practice based in Houston while co-managing the Houston Consulting Practice as well as the creation of a National Recruitment Office during a period of rapid firm growth.
Susan’s career began at Deloitte where she served as an auditor and was designated as a firm-wide energy specialist. She has spent the bulk of her career in professional service organizations, making her adept at managing and servicing clients on any size engagement within multiple industries. Susan, an honors graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with an accounting degree, is also a CPA and currently sits on the board of the Texas Society of CPAs and holds leadership roles in the Houston Society of CPAs. She is an active member of numerous professional and community service organizations. Her husband, Nick, and Susan, both native Houstonians, are busy raising their teenage daughter, Emma, and precious rescue pup, Jill.

Kristy joined BancorpSouth Insurance Services, formerly GEM Insurance, in 2012. Prior to joining BancorpSouth she worked at Guaranty Insurance as a commercial account manager and also John L. Wortham as a commercial and contract surety bond technician. Kristy’s responsibilities as a Sales Executive include cultivating relationships with new and prospective clients, problem solving and counseling customers so they are able to make educated and informed decisions regarding their insurance program, and bridging the gap between insureds and the carriers who insure them.
Kristy is a member of the H-Town Weightlifting Team, and has served 5 years on the Gatekeepers Committee for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. She is a current board member of the Houston Delta Zeta Alumnae Chapter and is the Delta Zeta delegate for the Houston Area Panhellenic Association. Kristy has been slated to serve on the board for HAPA next year. Kristy is an avid dog lover and currently lives in Houston with her two very spoiled dogs AllyBoy and BoogieMan.

Rebekah Bezerra is a Senior Associate for the Forensic, Litigation & Valuation Practice at Whitley Penn, LLP. Ms. Bezerra has engaged in a variety of litigation matters involving patent, trademark, and copyright infringement, and business valuation. Ms. Bezerra has worked with both plaintiffs and defendants in the analysis of economic damages, including lost profits, disgorgement of profits, and reasonable royalties. Ms. Bezerra’s experience spans across multiple industries including wireless telecommunications, e-commerce, consumer products, and oil and gas. Ms. Bezerra holds a B.B.A. in Accounting, Business Administration, and Spanish from Houston Baptist University, and a J.D. / M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University.

Jillian Nel, CFP®, CDFA is a Partner & the Director of Financial Planning for Legacy Asset Management in Houston. She is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional (CFP®), a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA) and was hired by Legacy in 2011 to open and direct a financial planning practice for the firm. Jillian and her team provide comprehensive financial planning and risk management to individual clients, business owners and their families. She also provides consulting and advisory services for the Qualified Retirement Plan practice of the firm to business owners, plan administrators, and participants.
Jillian has a passion for education and the empowerment it provides to both clients and the general public. She regularly speaks at financial planning seminars and employee educational meetings on how goal setting and risk management is essential for success in any financial planning scenario. She contributes commentary regularly to financial planning articles and was featured on the cover of the Retirement Advisor magazine in March 2015 as a dually licensed advisor and for the Women in Insurance cover feature in October 2015.
Most recently, Jillian was selected to serve as the Academic Program Director for the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) Certification Education Program within the Glasscock School at Rice University. This course prepares candidates to sit for the CFP®exam. Jillian has also served as an instructor of Retirement Planning & Employee Benefits for this program since March 2013 and continues to teach on a regular basis.
Jillian has the Series 7 & 66 securities license, as well as the Series 24, general securities principal, and is licensed as a general lines insurance agent for the State of Texas. She received a B.S. in business administration from the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder. She earned the CFP® designation in 2011 and became a CFDA in 2015.
Jillian also serves the community thru charitable efforts. She is a member of the Corporate Guild for Dress for Success Houston and an active member of Women of Wardrobe. Laurie-Leigh White is a Partner at BVA Group. As a Partner, Ms. White is responsible for overseeing the execution of a variety of valuation and litigation engagements. Specifically, Ms. White specializes in the valuation of companies, partnerships, intangible assets, complex securities for financial reporting and tax purposes, and employee stock ownership plans. Ms. White also serves as the head of the firm’s Houston office.
Ms. White has been involved in hundreds of valuation projects for a wide variety of purposes, including financial reporting, employee stock ownership plans, valuations for tax purposes, transaction advisory, and fairness opinions. Additionally, Ms. White has been involved in litigation consulting assignments related to economic damages, financial forensics, marital dissolution, and valuation matters. Although she has experience in a wide variety of industries, Ms. White has particularly extensive experience in the energy, technology, distribution, hospitality, construction and engineering industries.
Ms. White’s valuation experience is expansive, including valuations for the purposes of mergers and acquisitions, financial reporting (with a focus on “fair value” accounting for goodwill impairment and purchase price allocations), employee stock ownership plans (including annual update valuations and transaction driven fairness opinions), and gift and estate tax. Ms. White has deep experience regarding the valuation of a variety of securities, including publicly-traded and closely-held common stock, preferred stock, stock options and warrants, and partnership interests. She is a leader in BVA’s employee stock ownership plan practice.
Ms. White received a Master of Science in Accounting, a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Southern Methodist University, where she graduated with highest honors. Ms. White is a Certified Public Accountant* who holds the designation of Accredited in Business Valuation, and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers with an Intangible Asset Appraisal Specialty. She is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. White was recently selected as a recipient of the 2016 AICPA Forensic and Valuation Services (“FVS”) Standing Ovation Recognition program. This program is designed to recognize professionals in the FVS practice area who are 40 or under, hold either the CFF and/or ABV credential, and have exhibited exemplary professional achievement. In 2014, she was a nominee for the Houston Business Journal’s “40 Under 40” business and community leaders and was also a nominee for the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts “40 Under 40.” In 2007, Ms. White was awarded the Accounting Excellence Award by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Ms. White is serving on the planning committee of the American Society of Appraisers’ Energy Valuation Conference and is the immediate past chairperson. Ms. White is active in the Women’s Finance Exchange of Houston, serving as Treasurer and is a prior President of the organization. She also serves in a leadership role of an investor relations subcommittee of the Greater Houston Partnership and is a Board Member of the Houston chapter of the National Business Development Association. Ms. White is current President of the Houston Southern Methodist University alumni organization and member of the Houston Campaign Steering Committee. Furthermore, she is a member of the Houston chapter of the Association for Corporate Growth and Houston Estate and Financial Forum. Ms. White has spoken at multiple conferences. She is also a contributing author to Financial Valuation: Applications and Models, 4th Edition (April 2017).

Melissa Salmeron is a Vice President and Cash Management Sales Officer with Woodforest National Bank; assisting Middle Market clients by developing strategies and maximizing their working capital. Melissa has earned the Certified Treasury Professional designation and has more than thirteen years of experience in the banking industry.
Prior to joining Woodforest, Melissa was a Treasury Sales Advisor at Capital One N.A. in the New Orleans market and at Regions Bank in the Houston Market. Melissa brings her knowledge and experience and has worked with clients across multiple industries including: manufacturing and distributing, construction, healthcare and professional services.
Melissa earned her Bachelors of Science with dual majors of Marketing and Management from the University of New Orleans.
